Why Lantern Lit Exists

Let’s face it. 80% of AAPI participants in a Leading Asian Americans to Unite For Change (LAAUNCH) survey reported feeling alienated in America. The University of Southern California (USC) discovered that only 3.4% of lead actors in popular films were AAPI. As a result, discrimination and stereotypes thrive unaddressed. By sharing AAPI literature, Lantern Lit seeks to take back control of our narrative.
